01Who we are

Piel & Pelo Family Salon ("Piel & Pelo", "we", "us") is a unisex family salon in Ramanattukara, Kozhikode. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

02Information we collect

We collect only what we need to look after you:

We do not store your full card number or UPI PIN. Card and UPI payments are handled by the bank or payment provider.

03How we use your information

• To book, confirm, reschedule and remind you about appointments.
• To deliver services safely, for example by checking allergies before colour or skin treatments.
• To keep your service history so your stylist can repeat or improve a look.
• To issue bills and keep accounting and tax records required by law.
• To reply to your questions, feedback and complaints.
• To send offers and updates on WhatsApp or SMS, only if you have agreed. You can stop these at any time.

04Photos and social media

We love sharing our work, but we never post a photo in which you can be recognised without asking you first. If you agree, we may share it on our Instagram, Facebook or this website. You can ask us to remove a photo of you at any time and we will take it down from our own pages within 7 days.

05Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only when needed:

• Service providers who help us run the salon, such as booking, billing, messaging (WhatsApp) and payment providers. They may use it only to provide that service.
• Authorities when the law requires it, such as tax authorities or a court order.
• Emergencies, to protect someone's health or safety.

06This website

This website does not ask you to create an account and does not use advertising or tracking cookies. To display its fonts, your browser loads them from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of that request. Links to WhatsApp, Instagram and Google Maps take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies. If we add website analytics in the future, we will update this policy first.

07How long we keep it

• Client and service records: for as long as you remain a client, and up to 3 years after your last visit.
• Billing and tax records: for the period required under Indian tax law, usually 8 years.
• Marketing consent: until you withdraw it.

After that, we delete the information or make it anonymous.

08How we protect it

Client records are kept on password-protected devices and accounts that only authorised staff can open. Paper records, if any, are stored securely at the salon. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects you we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

09Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use it.
• Ask us to correct or update it.
• Ask us to delete it, unless we must keep it by law (for example, billing records).
• Withdraw consent for marketing messages or photos at any time.
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf.
• Raise a complaint with us, and if you are not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, call or WhatsApp us. We will reply within 30 days.

10Children

We style clients of all ages. For anyone under 18, we collect information only from, and with the consent of, a parent or guardian, and we never use a child's information for marketing or post a child's photo without the guardian's permission.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. Significant changes will also be posted at the salon.
